FAQs

Store your perfume in a dark and dry place. Avoid direct sunlight as light/heat can affect the perfumes “DNA”. Great places to store Mark XIV is your closet, bedroom, or dresser drawer. Keeping your perfume in its original box is a way to avoid light and heat as well. Do not keep your perfume in a bathroom. The humidity and frequent changes in temperatures will drastically affect your perfumes lifespan.

Natural oils darken over time. This is totally normal and is known as “maturing” or “marrying”. Think of it like a fine wine. Over time the scent becomes more robust and evolved. Perfumes with vanilla or citrus notes tend to darken faster.
Oils will also differ on color depending on their crop season. An oil harvested in the summer will differ from the color of an oil harvested in the winter.

When storing Mark XIV properly it can last many years. Oxygen is perfumes worst enemy. Not removing the bottle cap is essential for its longevity. A mix of no light and no air will optimize minimum oxidation levels.

Spraying Mark XIV on your pulse points is where your scent will have its best longevity. These are areas such as your neck, behind your ears, inside elbows, and wrists.

When you introduce fragrance to oxygen it begins to oxidize. This is why keeping the bottle top on is very important. An overload of oxygen will dilute the scent.

Only spray perfumes to smell them.
